Developer is wrong?

Hi there-

We just started a new forum and we asked that the vbseo be installed. We were told that it is installed, but our urls aren't being rewritten to be static. Also, I can't see a sitemap anywhere on our forum.

Our developer says that it's all installed, but somethin' ain't workin'. Any feedback or ideas would be much appreciated.

Re: Developer is wrong?

Do you have a link to the forum? I can tell you write away if could see it. Also, there are a couple different ways the urls can be rewritten and as for the sitemap you would only see it if you check the settings or reports page.

Somethings to look for...

At the top right of each post, is there a "Permalink"?

In the footer, is there copyright text for vbseo?

Add /vbseocp.php to your normal forumhome page and see if the control panel comes up.

Re: Developer is wrong?

Is it possible they uploaded all of the files but forgot to either install the product xml file or do the .htaccess step?
