When they started out, one of Google's best selling points was their simplicity. That's really fallen by the wayside lately.

that would be my biggest concern, diggers sign up to digg, and there are checks and balances. is google going to expect the billions of users to all sign up and be able to vote or will it be just anyone can vote, that is a SCARY concept....

Digg like Google voting could be a good thing. Think of all the times you search for something and get an MFA site with junk information. If enough people vote the site down it will fall to the bottom of the search page.

I think that's the only positive out of the whole thing other than that it's widely open to abuse as other have said. Look at how webmaster's ruin digg and stumble by trading or selling diggs and stumbles, it's ridiculous.
