So I was wondering I was reading through the newer TOS for adsense...And I dont quite understand as it still not really explained well...How many google ads are now allowed per page? I see on this site you have 2....I was wondering if there is a limit or what? or how do you get around not breaking the TOS these days with multiple ads?

you can cram alot.

There are different types, Search box ads, referrals, content, video ads, link units etc

There si a certain limit to each number you can place on a page, Content ads (most common, like the 468x60 banner guests see) you can only have 3 per page, then you can place your max number of link untis, referral advertisements and video ads and so on.

Though i can tell you now. If you're maxing out your page layout with every conceivable advertisement Adsense offers, you're going to have a pretty hideous page, (though it may pay well )

So if im understanding..Then its 3 per type? I mean I dont plan on gaying up the page with ads LOL...Just I was curious as to what the limits are these days...Thank You for the information

i have no clue, i know each one is different though some maybe 3, others maybe 4 or even 1. I usually just stick with 1 ad unit and 1 referral and 3 content ads and it gays my pages up pretty good but thats only for sites i intend only for adsense revenue and nothing more

I think it's three content ads, 1 link unit, and probably one of each other type per page.

yes, you can have 3 google ads per page, you can also show referrer buttons and search boxes, but I only mess with the google ads.

Yeah 3 content type, and I think Dave makes a good point here....

That said there is a fine balance for putting ads on your page.
1 not enough, or improperly placed ads wont pay
2. too many ads are ugly
3. too many ads dont pay well

if you are getting clicks on 1 particualr ad, odds are if you remove all the others on the page, that 1 ad will perform better (make more money) cause the high paying ads are all pushed to that 1 spot and not spread (and wasted) too the other ad units that dont get clicked...
