How to get Google to index faster?

I have vBSEO installed and sitemap as well, however it takes a lot of time for the new threads to get indexed unless they are linked out from my personal blog (my blog posts are usually indexed in an hour) or some other high ranking website.

Is there a way to ensure that the new threads gets indexed faster?

Re: How to get Google to index faster?

I haven't seen any proven way to get it to happen. Over time as more and more posts happened in my blog it's been crawling more frequently and indexing more frequently. It might be possible but I'm not sure on a way to make it happen.

If you have vbseo setup, then you can add the ping list, have you added any to the default list? I always added the 20 or 30 that I have setup on the blog, to that area in the vbseocp.

Re: How to get Google to index faster?

I have the following services listed there:

http://rpc.pingomatic.com
http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping
http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2
http://ping.feedburner.com/

I use less than these on my blog and on my personal blog even the posting frequency is erratic.

Re: How to get Google to index faster?

Definitely pinging more often will help, have you registered and verified your site with the Google Webmaster tools? All my sites are indexed faster after doing this and you can also tweak the spider speed somewhat.

I'm about to put a new vb forum on my latest site PokerMVP.com we'll see how quickly I can build it up and get it indexed regularly.

Re: How to get Google to index faster?

I have done that and have submitted sitemap as well; right now it is showing 6303 Indexed URLs out of the 7739 that have been submitted. vBSEO was added couple of months back so I guess it still hasn’t shown its full effect yet.

Btw has any one submitted RSS feeds in webmaster tools along with sitemap?
