how to install vbseo 3.1


it says i have to upload the .htaccess file, but i don't know where to upload it, i have a portal in the root directory and then the /forum/ which is the root for vbulletin, where should i upload it? and there are other files in the htaccess folder, should i upload those? and should i edit them in anyway because when i uploaded them it said files not found when i try to visit my site with the htaccess file on the server

You upload the htaccess to the forum root.

just the .htaccess file without editing it?
and it says
Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server.
when i do that, is that supposed to happen

well have you uploaded all files, then import the product xml, then uploaded the .htaccess to the forum directory? Thats all it is.
