i tried to make JUST the quick reply and go advanced reply boxes to have a light BG image, and it ended up in hte input fields too........IDK...lol

Brandon,

I found your posts on vb.org asking about the background image. I am using the advice given...

<td bgcolor="color">
blah blah
</td>

But only 95% of the background changes. I am still stuck with a small sliver of the original color to the left.

How do I get that last part to change?

And yes, I know it sucks right now...welcome header is in progress.

Thanks! But, I don't want to alter that image if it is used elsewhere. I searched for a while (still learning you know) but I couldn't find where it is told to use that image. If I could, I would just make another one with a slightly different name and tell it to use that.

I can't figure out how though.

Thanks for the compliment on the header...it is too white right now though.

Brandon, I just upgraded to vbulletin 3.6.6 and my welcome header image is now joined by a text message. I'm assuming with all the template edits that had to made with this upgrade that I missed something. Where do I turn off the text welcome message?

NC, you probably need to remove the default guest welcome message from your template as the hack originally had you do.

edit your FORUMHOME template. Find this code and eliminate it!

Okay - I finally got around to doing this. Thanks for the tips. FYI - I used "Adobe Image Ready" for my image maps.

Btw if I edit a skin in one install and download that skin through the download theme option in the Admin CP, will I get the edited theme with the welcome header and ads added or will I get the normal skin?

Just did this on my forum and I think it turned out well. I made it so it actually looks like typed text on my page.

How does the imgae you make fit in the box on different sized screens.

For example, if I make the Welcome Header Image 750px wide and it's viewed on a 1024px wide monitor ... what happens?

I obviously need to make this thing, probably just use paint, but will need some-one to help put the links in. Going to have to jazz it up a bit, I want more than just boring ole font.

Some guy was offering help @ $15, but I also need some-one to install the mod coz I'm a bit dumb with these things and frankly ... would rather trust some-one else than practice with the risk off stuffing things up.

So first of all, can some-one explain the image sizing issue? Also, right now, at the top of my Forum is a banner, that's 750 wide, how do I make that match the width of the Forum as per various sized monitors? People often comment that it sits up there sort of looking odd.

I'm listening.
