Killer idea.... I'd been thinking about that for awhile, toying around with different ideas, adding more relavant content to the message, but then it's still the same content over and over regardless. And you don't want to add too much, since you want to give guests a nice little "nudge" to join, but too much crap on every page can push them away as well.... the Image idea pretty much solves the issue, not to mention the customizing you can do.

Well, I can probably do a little better than the default blank header box with text in it, but not much further than that, graphics aren't my forte either... just putting together a little logo for the forum itself took me forever... and it's practically 99.p% text!:2eek:with a rudimentary attempt at conveying people connecting, but I think it gets the point across ok. Hopefully some graphics whiz kid will come along and whip up some killer designs in the time it takes me to find the line drawing tool in photoshop

Well, just the text and headphone/line graphic are mine, and the text is just typed text, the backdrop part of a free style, and I just added on top of it. But thanks though, it's simple, took forever, and I like it... come to think of it, it was Fireworks I used.... I'm not allowed to play with photoshop yet :2wink:

Dang, some peeps have some skills. Mine is nothing more then a simple.. very simple picture. The toughest part is getting the picture to look okay even when someone is using 800x600 to view your forums. I think I decided to forget them, and make it suitable for 1024x768.
