I have been doing soo much work in order to get in the top 10 rankings in google and hopefully others in time but how can I get a top ten ranking with certain keywords, like Football Forum, or My Football site?

I have just gone through 50 pages in google and I am no-where to be seen if I search for Football forum.

when have you started ? Effect can take some time, especially with a new forum . And also football isn't a keyword that will get you ranked high according me. It is so common ....
Maybe try to find more specific keywords and test them out in search engines to see how many returns you get.

I agree with eric, those are going to be hard keywords to hit.

maybe try for football fan or something a little easier.
Then after that, just keep building backlinks to your site. A good place to start is adding your site to your sig here ;)

ok so I see your point, but if I was looking for a football site I would say that typing in "Football Forum" would be a great start.

My site has been indexed for a while and I am a virgin when it comes to SEO and so that is why I am asking for help.

Doing other keywords does help getting ranked quicker and I have used IBP (Internet Business Promoter) to give me the best SEO tips I can get a good ranking but it only tells me of the issues and I need to fix them myself.

IBP tells me the top keywords that people are using to find there sites and Football Forum comes up quite highlly in the results which is one of the reason I am wishing to use Football Forum to promote my site.

I know this might be hard to do and I have been working hard on my site SEO'ing it as far as my knowledge allows me and I would say I am about just over half way through all the of the options I have changed.

I really want to get ranked even if for now I am last but I can build and grow, My site has a great style, design and the ability to grow and become very popular.

Going on about Adding my site to my signature, Would you say that an image with a link is better than words?

I like text links better.

I avoid clicking on banners in forum signatures.
