How'd I lose all my PR?

I was taken by complete surprise today when I noticed nearly all the pages of my site that had page rank of 3 and 4, except for the home page, were sitting at zero. What the hell happened? It doesn't appear to be the work of proxies. Google is still spending time on my site every day. TheFloorPro.com had a number of 3s and 4s and now it's got only one page with a PR4 and a couple of 1s.

This has me worried. I have no clue what could have happened. Could it have been my server move? My site stayed live while I tried out a few different hosts, setting up copies of my site using the domain name thefloorpro.net. Each time I would try a new host, I would change the name servers and set up the site again. This took a few weeks and when I finally made the move to Host Gator, I took the .NET site down.

Is there anything I can do, short of starting over? I worked hard for that PR and it was going to be a selling point for a directory. Any wisdom or advice would be appreciated.

Jim

you have a google webmaster account ? It is free, if there is a reason they blacklist your site, often you see it in there.

I agree with Eric, you can check all the links to your site in google webmaster tools.

No, as I said in my first post, all my pages except my home page. I had a lot of PR3s and 4s, including the home page. All of them are 0/10 now (except the home page).

Yes, I have a Google account. It reveals nothing about this issue.

maybe google is finally doing a pr update.
maybe you haven't been doing a good job getting deep back links ?
maybe google messed up during the last pr update.

and you can check your page strength in the webmaster tools ;)

Re: How'd I lose all my PR?

Well, what did you do recently?

I installed vBSEO last week, and lost all my page rankings as well. It will all come back I am sure.

My problem was the included vBSEO sitemap program which works exactly like a plugin from a vBulletin.org mod back into the Google spidering. I thought that was quite a unique enhancement. I had to go in to the Google Webmastering Tools and set the sitemap plugin location for this.

Thought I would share this information.

I am curious what happened, as I know what happened to me. I did the vBSEO install and *poof* everything was gone.

It will take about 2 months to get fully re-indexed by google after adding vbseo ;)
