ICO-Content

,

Does anyone here have any experiences, positive or negative, with ICO-Content?

Spreading the word on a new site is tough, and I'm wondering how much something like this can actually help a new site get rolling.

Re: ICO-Content

on paper looks promising but can't imagine this going wild when having a niche forum

not expensive compared to other means to get some content but still, does it work ???

Use at your own risk. There is no support for this product.

There is no use regurgitating the same old content, I have seen this implemented in couple of forums and frankly I found it repulsive enough to not go back to that forum again!

It's not terrible used in moderation.

I'm just a little pissed at the moment since it broke when I upgraded to 3.7, and don't even have access to my original download anymore.

New major version "coming soon". Yeah.

Re: ICO-Content

It worked OK for me, can't promise anything for anyone else. Be warned, it's very buggy, causes database errors, and I even need to go in and clear it's cache table in mysql once a week or so. I have not used for a while now though since it broke when I upgraded to the 3.7 RC vBulletin releases. I get a decent amount of guest traffic and the site is on track for the adsense to pay for the site. The support is totally unresponsive though. I think the whole thing about it being purchased was just a scam so the owners could stop working on it and sit around collecting their money from morons like me who were more than happy to pay for it. Knowing nothing about similar products (they do exist) I'd have to recommend trying one of those first before trying the ICO Content.
