i get the error you saw at the top. it also screw with the stats section on the bottom.

and yes Darkman, this is fine.. This is only removing the copyright in the title tag, not the one if the footer.

the first l got to the part were you click on edit and it gives me x_powered_by_vbulletin Standard Phrase {1} - Powered by vBulletin click on edit l get Standard Phrase: x_powered_by_vbulletin (id: 33438)

Varname $vbphrase[x_powered_by_vbulletin] scoll down to English (US) Translation (Optional) and type in {1} and save it, know l got x_powered_by_vbulletin English (US) Translation {1}

yes but l got all the other stuff still there [x_powered_by_vbulletin Standard Phrase {1}] is still there l thought once l changed it to {1} the original phase [x_powered_by_vbulletin Standard Phrase {1} would not be there

Hey, i found this thread on google. I removed the powered by vbulletin in the title. I dont know much about SEO, but i added to the title Orlando Magic Fan Forum where powerd by was previously... Do you think Google will penalize me? what will happen?

I don't suggest doing that
I would just remove everything but the {1}
you can always change your forum name if you want a different title
I would also suggest removing the forum name on the categories and threads, so you only have the title of the categories and the titles of the threads, nothing else.

Well yea not only you can remove it but you can also change its text , modify it and add your own keywords...
you can use this according to your need , the best thing you choose just put it there...
