Would i need to purchase vBSEO or wait for vB4 to enable me to have permalink URL's?

Like i see that you have on certain parts here for instance:

the "seo" url's that vb 4.0 has aren't anything compared to what you get with vBSEO
vbseo is a company devoted to vbulletin seo, the new seo url's with vb 4.0 are going to be very amateur compared to what you get with vbseo.

Do you have any evidence that vB4 seo will be poor. I was actually hoping for opposite. I bet IB want a huge chunk of vBSEO market pie.

All vbseo does is seo..jelsoft has more than that and from just looking at what each company specializes in then you can count on vbseo being in a separate category from vb itself so jelsoft isn't really getting a 'vBSEO market pie'. The only person getting a piece of the pie is vbseo lol since you need vb first..

I think that once Jelsoft brings a quality seo solution to its products, then most people would rather pay that and have it all in one, than splash another $150-ish for vbseo, which is almost as much as another vB license.

Jelsoft can easily get a "bigger chunk of money" from its customers, because obviously most of people get tempted to go with seo solution.

I never understood why did it take so long for them to do something about seo. It's not like other board scripts haven't done it.

Vbseo is good, but not a musthave for all boards. I have Vbseo and do love it. But for smaller forums rewrite and some effort to get backlinks can really be enough.
