remove the lastpost.gif from your forumhome

Go to your forumhome_lastpostby template.

Search and remove this code, There will be 2 instances of it, you want to remove them both..

Code:

<a href="showthread.php?$session[sessionurl]goto=lastpost&amp;t=$lastpostinfo[lastthreadid]"><img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/lastpost.gif" alt="$vbphrase[go_to_last_post]" border="0" /></a>

That code just gives you the little lastpost.gif next to the Last Post. I like to remove this, because users will usually just click the text link. Without the icon, it'll make your site that much faster to load, if its fast to load, it is friendlier for search engines

However, might it not be better to remove the surrounding link as well?

its matter of personal preferences,, some want to remove the links on the main page, but personally I use that text link a lot.. The image icon is just using up bandwidth, and slowing the site down..

It doesn't slow it a lot, but it all adds up.
