| Re: RSS feeds set up? the link to a vb forum rss feed is Code: http://www.yourdomain.com/forum/external.php?type=RSS2
or if you have your forum installed like here Code: http://forum.vbulletinsetup.com/extarnal.php?type=rss2
to have it as an icon you could include the code along this idea... Code: <A HREF="http://www.yourdomain.com/forum/external.php?type=RSS2">
<IMG SRC="rss.gif" RSS></A>

You can edit all that text Quote:

RSS Feeds
Rather than visiting a series of Web pages every day, many Web users are installing RSS newsreaders and configuring them to pull RSS feeds. It's like having news delivered to your desktop!
Already set up for RSS? Configure your RSS newsreader software to point to the URL(s) below.
What is RSS?
As defined by WikipediaWikipedia, RSS (acronymic for Really Simple Syndication) is "a group of XML based web-content distribution and republication (Web syndication) formats primarily used by news sites and weblogs (blogs)." Essentially, an RSS feed is a hosted XML file from which your RSS newsreader pulls headlines, URLs, and other content as it is updated.
Need RSS software?
To get started, you'll need to download and install a free RSS newsreader client. Many are available (some as browser extensions); see Google's list hereGoogle's list of RSS client software.. Point your software to RSS feeds of interest, and you're done!
| I need to do this as well, so I'm not a great example :p
but this is a great please to post a solid keyword rich description about your site and what it offers *btw, your welcome to hit the "thanks" button on the post above*

| Re: RSS feeds set up? good idea brandon, I'll have to tweak it a little.
I'm looking for a way to add the page link to my site now.
I like your RSS links at the bottom of the forum page, have an edit?
Also gotta dig around for something to throw on my main page but that isn't on vbulletin but that part should be easy.
Thanks again all. Quote:

| Re: RSS feeds set up? no silly, the bottom 4 supposed to be centered are missing icons.
but I'm actually stuck trying to take the feeds and create an xml sitemap.
I tried ror.com but it searches my whole site and I have over 1000 pages so it stops. I just want to put in the 10 or so feeds to RSS and xml them.
this has been more of a Pain in... than i expeted |

| Re: RSS feeds set up? (Regarding issue of bottom 4 rss feed logos showing up as blank boxes)
ANYONE?
ok brandon took your suggestion and double checked the folder my images are in. they are there, and the path is similar to those of other images in the same directory.
this is my path and all seems correct: I AM NO CODER but I can usually figure crap out. Anyone have any ideas.
<img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/addyahoo.gif" alt="Add The Penny Stock Blog To Your Yahoo" height="15" width="80" border="0"></a>
Here is a similar path and all images are in same misc folder.
<img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/whos_online.gif" alt="$vbphrase[view_whos_online]" border="0" /></a
anyone if you have a sec please. |

those are cool
I've had a problem putting the 4 feeds images, centered, at the bottom of every section.
the link is correct and the feed the image doesn't show, I've got something messed up in my path.
I have no coding knowledge and am working thru it. Using my main vb page as a test template..I'gotta be able to figure it out.
This threads getting long LOL
ADDDED HERE:
yeaaaaahhhh, put a feed list up on the main bb page weeeeeeeeeeeee
now that i've figured that out, will get back to the bottom 4 later, or maybe I'll just yank'em'out.
