Should you add vBSEO to a brand new site?

Should you add vbseo to a new site was a thread that got deleted when I was trying to merge it with another vbseo thread and then I wanted to remove a few of the last post.. I guess I removed the whole thing

I think it was a good thread with some good points, we had some issues towards the end, that's what I was trying to remove.

Anyways.. do you think it's a good idea to add vbseo to a brand new site? or do you even think vbseo is worth the money.

From now on, all vbseo threads of this nature, will be merged with this thread..

Feel free to express your thoughts, but don't be so close minded that it becomes a fighting match.

btw.. I do think it's worth it on a new forum.
I added it to our Topeka forum
Topeka/Shawnee Kansas Online even tho it hasn't fully been developed yet. I wouldn't consider starting a vbulletin forum without it.

ps... I will never say vbseo is the only thing you should do to "seo" your site, but I believe it has helped for me.

I would add vbseo to each new site if I could afford it

I would say yes. It is better to do it from start if you plan on doing it. If you do not then eventually if you want to add it, your links will be deindexed because they have now changed. I say why waste time doing that. Just start them right from the get go.

Re: Should you add vBSEO to a brand new site?

Yup. I'll never run a vb-powered site without it.

Running it from the start, you avoid the 're-indexing' process altogether. It's a worthwhile investment in my eyes.

Re: Should you add vBSEO to a brand new site?

For some, I know this was the case for me, vBSEO is just too expensive at the start of your venture. I had trouble justifying vBulletin never mind another $150.

But I was a new webmaster then and I didn't know you could get a license 'on the cheap' by buying second hand so maybe I could have done it cheaper and bought vBSEO from the start. But I read and read so-o-o-o-o-o-o-o many threads for and against installing vBSEO, peoples opinions and testimonials for and against...and to be honest, I couldn't make up my mind anyway.

My results - my site stormed up the rankings and was top 5 for many keyword phrases. I don't think it's necessary to install vBSEO for SERPs but for onpage SEO I think it's a good feature. It makes your onpage SEO easier let's put it that way but you can still do good things yourself if you don't have it installed.

I've had vBSEO installed on my site for 5 weeks now, after it being online for 6 months. It had 27,000 pages indexed in google and now they all have to be done again. My count is currently between 25,000 - 27,000 and that's been constant over the past few weeks. I guess as pages are being removed, the new urls are being added. In a way I'm glad I never installed it from the beginning because now I have experience first hand of how it's going to affect my site and now rely on other peoples.

Hope this helps.
