I think Tags in general are good for SEO , because they are effectively , hand edited categorization , same as a person edited directory , search engines value this, and more so into the future , Yahoo and Google both search tags daily and if your tags are accurate then this is a good thing. Thousands of major sites have tag clouds , so no harm at all .
