| Re: vBulletin SEO Optimization Tips The best thing I've found that works is using the "forumpath.php" file in the vbadvanced download and place that in the folder you're using for attachments. Then you browse to that file, get the full path, delete the file and set that folder as chmod 777 |

| Re: vBulletin SEO Optimization Tips Some good suggestions in here, just be sure to check pageloads with some of that stuff. We should probably update the first post with the updated link to vbulletin mods to add in 3.6, 3.7, and 3.8.. or maybe just the past couple. |

| Re: vBulletin SEO Optimization Tips Hello,
The page title must reveal the content of your page, along with the description and keywords meta tags. Keep in mind that each page must have rank for one or two keywords only, that should be the most repeated words in the page .

| Re: vBulletin SEO Optimization Tips I'm sure it was mentioned earlier, but one thing that Google looks at when crawling your site is how fast it takes to load and render. Last year we started using a Content Delivery Network for all images, scripts, and CSS. It's pretty easy to set up, with some Replacement variables to change 'clientscript' and 'images' paths.
Specifically we've been using SimpleCDN's "Mirror" bucket, which really makes keeping it up to date easy. On normal days we saw improvements of over 50% on page rendering times. But the one problem we've noticed is that when our node (the general location where our office is) has a lot of traffic, having to connect to multiple servers actually slows the site down considerably for browsers in the overloaded location. |

| Re: vBulletin SEO Optimization Tips Search Engine Optimisation is often considered a black art - but there are some straightforward Search Engine Optimisation techniques that can make a difference.
Tip 1. Newsletters and articles. A powerful Website Optimisation technique that assists Search Engine Optimisation is to offer articles and informative writing to e-zine publishers. Links often stay live in archives for years, maintaining your website optimisation for searches.
Tip 2. Multiple Domains. Search Engine Optimisation can be enhanced by having multiple domains if you have a range of topics that could justify their own website. Search Engine Optimisation can result in the listing of only one page per domain for any given search. Tip 3. Article Exchanges. Article exchanges are similar to link exchanges, only much more powerful, so great for Search Engine Optimisation. Giving and receiving high quality links can really help with your Search Engine Optimisation.
Tip 4. Titles For Links. A top Search Engine Optimisation tip is to title links using keywords and phrases as some search engines figure this into their relevancy for a page. This will help to maximize your website optimisation.
Tip 5. Site map. Large sites need a site map to maximise Website Optimisation, linked to and from every page on the site. A site map is an excellent Search Engine Optimisation tool. It enables search engine robots to locate every page in just two clicks. The navigation bar can also act as a site map proving a useful Search Engine Optimisation technique on small sites

Thanks for the gzip checker tool, I just enabled compression on my site... For which I assumed my host already had it, guess I was wrong. |
