Whats the most imporant part of SEO and your site?
Keywords of course. If you pick the wrong keywords, you can sink your ship before you even get off harbor.
For Example, if you are a new site and try to get a keyword phrase that has been around for a long time with major competition you are really starting from a deep hole. However, if you use these techniques it will help to let you know what Keywords you should go for that are your best bet for a nice position in the engines for you promptly.

This whole process will probably take you a few hours, but its WELL WORTH THE TIME!!!

Heres some videos from Sagerock.com as he explains a great way to research keywords and what ones to choose if you're just starting out. I've used this on my brand new site and I'm listed for 3 keywords first page of google in less than 2 weeks.

Great videos, I'm going to give that a try. I never really did research on keywords, I just knew what I needed to post for this site

Yeah, I knew what keywords were really big in my niche, but camaro is searched a ton. What this did was help me find keywords that were searched alot, but didn't yield many results compared to other ones.

Also, if you have run an Adwords campaign with a string of keywords you'll soon see what's getting hit on the most.

One of the biggest issues I have for my business site is, I want it to rank in Brisbane Australia but the host is in USA, that makes it hard although the site is geotargeted as the IP Google pulls up shows me further from the action.

It is best to host in the town you are targeting, however for me the cost would be exhuberent as Australia is a rip off when it comes to hosting. Approx 100gig of videos downloaded a month off my site!
