Mine has been pretty pathetic lately as well. Today I am at .22 RPC. That is ridiculous. My CTR today was very high too. So I don't know what the deal is.

Adsense has now started dropping on my best converting site. Been seeing several doubleclick ads lately, and now that google has bought doubleclick, I am really not feeling good about the future of adsense. I will give it a few more days, then I may convert all my sites over to YPN ads. Quote |

Hey guys. I'm new here, but had to add my .02 worth. I've seen similar results. I used to do okay with adsense, and now I can't break $5.00 a day ![]() I'm not sure if I just suck at monetizing (probably, which is why I came here) but I have a ton of good content, I'm growing like mad, and yet still I make jack. I've got some questions, but won't muck up this thread. Quote |

Re: Adsense just dropped to almost nothing for me. I think this happens to a lot of people where their CTR is high one minute and then on average and then well below average the next making things look strange, but it's not that strange as it does happen.

Re: Adsense just dropped to almost nothing for me. I have normally seen that when ever my sites start receiving more and more clicks, CPC drops drastically, smart pricing sucks. But currently Adsense is easiest to implement, has the maximum number of advertisers (at least for Indian publishers) and pays!

Re: Adsense just dropped to almost nothing for me. I have never seen the point in making site after site just to earn from Adsense. If you really want to earn money on the Web then this is something that you would not do really as it's not a good business plan, but then that's just my opinion. How I see it is that you make 100 sites that earn from Adsense. 100 sites * $10 earnings per site = $1000 earnings per month. Now then figures look alright, but it's not as easy to do as what I have typed. For a start you have to get unique content for them all and then you have to do a different design for them and then you have to advertise each one of them plus update them regularly. All of this work can be put into just 1 - 3 sites where you can learn more about your visitors and learn how to monetize these few sites better. In other words all the time spent on them 100 sites for advertising could be spent on them 3 sites meaning each site would have had 30+ times more advertising done than them 100 sites and giving them more backlinks. More backlinks normally equals better search engine rankings, more site exposure giving it more branding and people are likely to link back to it, etc. There is just 100's of more advantages of having a few sites than have 100+ sites. But as I said, that's just my opinion.

Re: Adsense just dropped to almost nothing for me. Well said. I agree completely. Admins should focus on creating great content on a few site then spouting out junky websites for their adsense revenue dollars. I think that's one of the reason why there is so much junk on the internet these days. I couldn't imagine havin 50+ sites to manange and update. Quote |
