Re: Adsense locations on forums

Thanks Chase!

I've actually switched over to the vBslideshow now. It's much better and has not caused any errors (the joomla had errors about once every three to four page impressions) and supposedly has less queries than the fpss. Plus, you can play an audio file with the vBslideshow. Check the stuff out through my affiliate link (that way if you like anything and you buy, I get a cut ) at Cool vBulletin addons - Digital Downloads With Licensing Enforcement for vBulletin ....thanks!

I tried to get the same background color, but it wouldn't let me put it in. So, I used their palette and got as close as possible.

I'll try again...thanks for the color code!

You know, that's one of those things that I am going to have to hire Chase and have him work on for me.

Re: Adsense locations on forums

In the last 7 days....3,163 impressions with 8 clicks. $1.18

So, it's getting better. I made another adjustment yesterday making the ad appear on every page between the 1st and 2nd posts and not just the first page. We'll see if we keep seeing an increase.

Re: Adsense locations on forums

I removed the affiliate link ;)

I've seen a big jump in clicks and money since I switched over to 2 336x200 banners side by side to guest, then the 5 small link ads to the members.

I get 90% of my clicks from under my navbar

this is what I use.
Code:
<if condition="$show['guest']">
<div align="center">

*big ad*

<br />
<a href="http://forum.vbulletinsetup.com/f86/http://www.forum-url.com/register.php"><b>Register</b></a> and remove some of the ads
</div></if>
<if condition="$show['member']">
<div align="center">

*small ad*

</div></if>
edit the parts in red

ps... I don't know why this url is in the code "http:// forum.vbulletinsetup.com/f86/"
just remove that completely

Thanks for sharing Brandon.

I'm also getting 90% of my clicks from under the navbar link.
