Re: We have added vBulletin banners

Well what I meant was that I'd like to learn how adding a banner generates revenue ($). Now I understand how sponsoring a forum works but the exchange of money is what I don't understand how it operates. I'm assuming that a between the forum owner and the customer wanting to sponsor the forum a price is worked out, weather it's a flat rate or a monthly charge that I understand. But what about these pay per click? How do you keep track of it?

I hope I'm getting the right message accross.

I believe the banners on vBulletin Setup are cost-per-term, i.e you pay $X to have your banner rotated for a month/2months/etc

You can get them by $X per/month or $ per impression or $ per click..

For us, if I was going to buy some banner space, I would look for other webmaster sites, and if I couldn't get a webmaster site, I would look for template sites.

Like bdude said, we sell our banner spot in the top right for x$'s a month.

The banners that I'm talking about in this thread are affiliate banners.. and if someone clicks the hosting tab or the vbulleitn button and buys vb or hosting, I'll get a % of the sale.

It's a nice way to make some money.. I've received 2 checked from cj.com so far.

Re: We have added vBulletin banners

I just signed up for more niche I have made 25 bucks in two days just doing there little incentive things.

I am happy about it..I am implementing some of it on all my websites. Some of the progams are not appropriate for some of my websites and I am hoping they add more programs. I like how easy there website is set up.

Thats my big news for the day.

Re: We have added vBulletin banners

Sorry guys, I've removed the affiliate links and from your blog post lisa (which is hidden)

We've had users asking about affiliate links b4 and I said no so I have to hold with that until we make an official announcement.

cheers
