[reviewed] Boarding Scene - Seo Issues / Help

I need some help with Seo on my website www.boardinscene.com

I have vBSeo installed on my forum and I am still getting poor rankings. I did a impex job a while back plus my site went down for a little so that hurt me even more.

Please help.

Re: Boarding Scene - Seo Issues / Help

okay, that link works

I'll list post a brief list of what I'd change.. and if you have questions, please reply.
  • add a the Welcome header hack... This will help add keywords to the top of your pages, as well as inform guest what your forum is about.
  • META - keywords and descriptions ? have you filled this out in vboptions ?
  • update your site map to 1.7
  • use the Reverent Replacement feature that vbseo offers
  • seems you have a big blank space in your logo ? maybe drop that top part down, to replace the dead spot.. this might make your keywords closer to the top
  • have you worked on getting back links ? This will help more then anything
  • its up to you, but I'd name photoplog to "gallery" or something
  • remove - Powered by vBulletin
  • where are the archive links that vbseo gives ? log out and look at the footer here if u don't know what I'm talking about

for some reason I can't think of anything else, so we'll start with that

back links, with good anchor text and time will help a lot.

Did you pay the $60 or do it yourself?

Also do you think I would get into dmoz if I used them? I was having one hell of a time trying to get in.
