I know I havent hit at least a few of your tips but getting there, still reading through them.

Your front page needs work. You should get vBadvanced to use as your front page instead. It'll tie into the forums a lot better and make your front page look a lot better.

You should edit your welcome message to tell newcomers what your site is about. I know it's about stocks but what do you do? Do you talk about, share, have virtual stocks? Tell me what I should expect from your site.

I'm not sure if this was from oyur site but I just experienced a pop-up. I think you should only advertise with banners but only in moderation.

You need a custom style instead of the default. A custom style would breath fresh air into your forums because members get tired of looking at the same style (I know this from first hand with my site).

havent looked into vbadvanced or changing the custom style yet was worried that changing the style would be difficult on me and I'd lose things...

as far as vbadvanced, havent checked out all the options on it.

Find a style you like and I'll walk you through installing it. Make sure you find a style for your vBulletin version (which is "3.5.4").

don't know if I'll go with Vb advanced since I have a mainpage on my site before the bulletin board. But maybe.

figured it out myself. i like the style.

I had added the specialized welcome headers on the old style but the were lost as the new skin is heavily modified.

Anyways: these were both your suggestions if you would like to review the site again it would be greatly appreciated.

know how to add those "similar threads" or page links at the bottom such as on this site??
