Bandwith Limit Reached, Need to Move Site

to a new server with a bigger package option, Problem is I cant make a backup of the vbulletin.sql because I get the BW limit page.

I can still log into my Cpanel etc.. Is it possible to move my site without doing the backup?

How do I do this including moving the mysql database on the backend?

I haven't the slightest idea how to do this without messing my site up.

Nick,

It may not be possible to move your site from the current hosting situation since the BW limit is reached and your host very may well have your acccount completely disabled.

If you've got SSH access you maybe able to work around it, but thats a big maybe, I suggest talking to your host real fast, and seeing if you can some how upgrade your current hosting package temporarily until you can get everything moved to a new server.

I've been updating my personal website etc via "FTP" the host has also told me to login ftp, backup etc.., so Im not locked out.

Ive tried to get a bigger package and this is all I get "Please move your site over to our new network. I can't recommend my clients to stay on the current network. Please move over to ********** and we'll reimburse you for the remaining months you have with us. You can purchase a higher bandwidth package there."

Any volunteers?

So they won't let you into cPanel to get your DB Dump - do you have SSH access?

If you can get into the ftp, just make a backup of everything in the public_html folder
If you are able to get into myphpadmin, make a backup of all the databases.

We use Fluid Hosting: FreeBSD and Windows Hosting
I highly recommend them
Most decent host will help you if you have your backups.

Also if you have cPanel access, there is an easier way to get a full backup of everything.

Contact your host and tell them your situation. I'm sure they will give you some leeway for your bandwidth issue. I recommend Medialayer.com, Steadfast.net, or Downtownhost.com for web hosting.
