Best option, switch hosts!

I know it can be a bit troublesome, but I would switch hosts at the slightest sign of trouble. Your forum is not big enough to cause any bottleneck on a shared account, I guess you just need a host that doesn’t oversells as much! If you expect your forum to grow fast, then it might be a good idea to get a reseller account, since they normally have more headroom.

I was talking to another forum admin, and he said that a good host will help you "migrate" the forum to their servers. Definitely find a good host, and get off your current server. It sounds like its underperforming, especially since your site is so small at the moment.

If Kel's current host is using CPanel and the new host also uses CPanel and then the migration process is quite easy and its more than likely that the host will help to migrate the entire site.

Ps. check out knownhost, they are quite good and I have been hosting all my site on them for almost a year now.

Hey Kelmar, did you get this worked out? What did you end up doing?
