You guys have no idea how lucky you are to have a good host.

I thought mosso would be good. So far i cant recommend them.

They seem helpful enough, I have contacted them about hosting and have had helpful replies quickly. I might give them a try.

I currently use Site5 (Site5.com). The have been ok, their tools, admin page are pretty good. There server are not all that stable and we are on one of their higher plans. They have been working on it and things have gotten a little better only one crash in the last 2-3 weeks. However I think they did it by scripts that kill processes. That screwed up our site as well. Their biggest issue is that they suck at communication. I think if we move again it will be a full virtual server and dedicated. It's too much of a pain to move. In order for that to happen our revenue needs to continue to increase.

I've heard bad things about Site5...my friend was on it and he was getting DoSed like crazy and their DoS protection is horrible, or at the time it was. They made him take his site down...

As for me, I bought a dedicated server through Jewlzk | Web Hosting - Home . He's a good friend with my server tech I lug around with me lol so we got a killer rate and when we've ran into problems (very VERY few compared to other hosting companies), the guy running jewlzk helped out immediately and fixed the problem pronto

For dedicated servers, I would suggest jewlzk or Softlayer Technologies, Inc.. Softlayer has great DDoS protection (only for 1 dollar more a month - lol I have big problems with DDoSers so it was a good deal) and their customer support is absolutely amazing.

Other hosting that I've used would be hostgator (great support, uptime and ddos protection) and bluehost (meh...cheap...you get what you pay for).

They are tons better then Netfirms where we started... We haven't had any issues with DOS attacks yet. Other then the one we brought down on ourselves by Digging and article. They shut us down and said we where being attacked but when I showed them it was all real traffic they allowed us to come back on line as long as we made the article HTML. I think we will move to a deticated server when we have steady income (starting to happen) and get some of the other tasks done like a reskinning of our site.

Seems OK, I got 3 sites with them. Pretty good vdeck, lots of features etc. I just dont know what happens when a site gets real busy, like 1000 people all at the same time posting, searching etc? Not that my site is that busy but I always wonder.

They have a 24hr chat for help, coz it's USA hosted and I'm in Oz it can at times be difficult to get some-one on chat and some days it's real fast as 300million Americans are sleeping.
