Have been on dedicated servers at servint for a couple of years. Never one single issue. And support is unbeatable.

Re: What hosting service do you use?

I've been using byethost. For about... I think it will be a year sometime in April.

So far, they haven;t dissappointed me, but i've heard alot of bad reviews about their free service.

Since they majorly updated their servers sometime in September, i've noticed way better speeds. Anyways, yeah.

Byethost Internet.

Re: What hosting service do you use?

Im still using hostgator with no problems at all but Im thinking about moving to a new host. I have read too many times that if their are too many members online at once they shut down your site with out any warning. My forum has picked up the last two weeks so I want to play it safe. Hostgators next plans are dedicated which I definately cant afford or even need at this moment. Currently Im the on the largest shared hosting plan from hostgator no problems so far but like I said I want to play it safe.
I was looking at RealWebHost.net at their virtual private servers. What do you guys recomend? I want something that can handle 30-40 members online at once in different peaks and days. I have many attachments, vbseo and more heavy mods. Im also looking for something decent in price wise. I dont make any money with the forum so has to come out of my pocket.

Are you going to get the domain with the host like last time ?
I would suggest going to godaddy and getting a domain there. You can google "godaddy coupons" and get a discount.

I have been thinking about this, and I think it is probably better to purchase the domain name straight out....like you said from godaddy since they have free pushes if I would need to sell...

Yea, we do not want another episode like the last mess I had.. :suicide:

Dude... whatever you do, don't choose servage.net as your webhost... their database servers suck big time... They go down at least once per day.
