Description:
This is an old family recipe handed down over the years, and probably closer to the original hamburger from the city of Hamburg. They're very flavorful and almost the consistency of meatloaf, so we don't eat them with buns.
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
N/A
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
N/A
  1. 1 1/2 lb. chopped meat
  2. 1 med. onion, chopped
  3. 1 egg, beaten
  4. 1/3 c. milk
  5. 1 c. bread crumbs (Italian flavored)
  6. parsley
  7. Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  1. Mix the above ingredients together with hands. Make thick patties and broil on both sides.

  2. We like to fold up a slice of cheese and mold the patty around it. Some people like to add green bell peppers or Worcestershire sauce.

I used to hate onions too, but now I don't mind them if they're diced really really small. Still hate the big chunks or slices of em though.
