Congratulations goes out to What's Your View?, Home of Debates and Opinions, for winning our Board of the Month contest. Check them out, it’s a great looking site and they actually just released the style their using. Stay tuned for our next BOTM contest if you don’t mind having your site go out to 5,000 fellow webmasters. Sponsor
Speaking of advertising, we are currently taking on sponsors for our end of the year/new year contest. I’ve had a few great hosting offers, couple Wordpress styles, a few links for advertising or some time for services. I’m going to make it a 3-month contest with 3 winners. The winners will select the prizes they want from the list available. Site Updates
I’ve had a little time to do some long-needed work to vBSetup. I finally got the RSS feeds setup so it’ll show your latest blog of forum post from YOUR site, in each and every post/thread on vBSetup. You’ll see this same feature on many of the other popular webmaster forums around the net. It’s a great way to get deep links to all parts of your site, on the fly.
Another addition to the forum is the iTrader hack. It’s setup in the marketplace forums, please take a sec and leave iTrader for any past work you’ve done. After the last user (which I thought was a good guy) turn out to be a major vbulletin scammer, I decided to add this hack to help build a reputation for those looking for vBulletin work.
The last update is the setup of the newsletter itself. I’ve changed some of the forums that posts are pulled from. We now will be displaying post from the vBulletin Tutorial forums as well as the Photoshop Tutorials. I’ll see if I can still pull in some of the info from the Search Engines News sections as well at the bottom... A note on this, I've been messing with GAZ for 30 mins trying to get it setup like I want. I'm just going to remove it completly and add it again but that will have to wait. So just in case the photoshop and vb tutorials aren't showing like they should, that's why. Happy Thanksgiving
Since I’m sending this out Thanksgiving evening, I thought I should mention the occasion. I hope everyone travels were safe and that you had as good of a time with your families as I have so far. We are going back out this weekend for another dinner. If you like to cook like I do, you may be interested in this cookbook for Thanksgiving dinners. Maybe it could be used for the upcoming dinners that I’m sure a few of you will be fixing or attending.
Happy Holidays everyone, this is a busy time of year with Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years all back-to-back. Let’s not let our forums slow down because you are too busy. Let your members know you are thinking of them as well. Regards
